What makes a Clinical Educator different from a Preceptor?
In our NYU Meyers and NYU Langone Academic Partnership, preceptors transition to Clinical Educators through participation in educational opportunities offered through our HRSA grant.
Clinical Educators are:

Uniquely qualified to facilitate the transition of Nurse Practitioner students from dependent to independent providers.

Knowledgeable about topics not taught during formal training.

Able to apply adult teaching learning theories and integrate the latest topics in healthcare and policy into clinical teaching.
