Academic Clinical Partnership

Building an Academic Clinical Partnership (ACP) offers many advantages for the NP preceptors. First, through this grant, we have accepted the challenge of designing an ACP that will be a National Model for NP preceptor preparedness to educate NP students to be ‘practice-ready’ upon graduation. We feel that recognition of preceptors should change to a Clinical Educator model within the ACP, that supports reciprocal interactions among program faculty and NP Clinical Educators. A major goal for an ACP is to provide high quality health care for all patients with outcome measures that support population health and well being.

We welcome input from all Clinical Educators to create the ACP over the next 3-years and to sustain the ACP well beyond the grant funded period, with the goal of providing high quality, patient centered, cost effective healthcare.
